On the new year's day of 2025, I went to see Chiba section where a geomagnetic reversal layer is retained. The golden spike (GSSP) plate is installed in the cliff of Yoro river bank. Chibanian Visitor Center is near the entrance. 30 minutes walk from Tsukizaki station of the Kominato Line (the railway starts from Goi station of JR East Railway).
